CITY NEWS GMS CORP EYES ALIEN PROJECT FOR TAKEOVER, ASSETS The world of foundations was shaken to its psytrance earlier today as news spread across the trading floors of a possible merger between Alien Project (LSE:ALP) and G.M.S. Corp (LSE:GMS). G.M.S. Corp, with its myriad popular trading arms including Soundaholix and 1200 Mics, is understood to have been eyeing Alien Project for some time. An unnamed source familiar with the situation commented, "certainly G.M.S. Corp are in a strong buying position following recent acquisitions including Raja Ram Inc (LSE:RRAM) and Every Fucking Thing On Tip (LSE:TIPZZZ). I would not be surprised to see the regulators taking a strong interest in this acquisition." Alien Project shares rose 13.5p on the day to 85.5p, while G.M.S. Corp rose 78 to 133564p. ----------- RARE POSFORD SIGHTING TIPS HALLUCINOGEN BALANCE The chance sighting of Posford (NYSE:POSF) in Dorset last night fuelled speculation of a new album from the psytrance legend. An unnamed source pulled up at the Esso on an unspecified country road in Dorset at 3:00am last Tuesday, witnessing a giggling Posford "getting coy about buying skins along with ten benson and a large quantity of what appeared to be Astro Belts." The witnessed then said that Posford "bottled it and said he didn't need the skins before leaving the garage, walking the perimeter of the forecourt, then treading back in pretending he'd not been in before." Traders frenzied in Posford today on speculation that the return to skinning up form would point to a return to his musical production form. Coaxed by the prospect of a new solo album, shares in POSF soared 13.8p on the day to 47.6p. ----------- 1200 MICS COURT CASE: LATEST Day six of the 1200 Mics vs. Hunter S Thompson disintegrated into chaos Friday. 1200 Mics, who brought Thompson to trial for "clearly and without excuse basing an entire book on our album and songs", are insisting that Thompson's legendary underground student drugged up classic Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas is an "entire fucking rip" of their album, 1200 Micrograms. Judge Billy Nasty, presiding, allowed Thompson to speak in his defence, and the ruck ensued. "Listen," said Thompson, "you fucking techno hippies. I clearly wrote that book years ago, then it was turned into a fucking film with Johnny fucking Depp, then you [points to Ram] went and got your fucking Akai and got jiggy. I mean for fuck's sake. Honestly." Judge Nasty then asked Ram to take the stand. Ram is understood to have stood in silence in, according to a witness, "a way which made him look like he was about to turn into shiva or something." After ignoring four questions from Thompson's representative lawyer, he exhaled a huge cloud of DMT smoke, covering the entire court and rendering all persons in an "utterly banana'd state of confusion". Judge Nasty was left with no option but to adjourn the court "until everybody gets their shit together." Raja Ram was too spannered for comment. The case continues. (c) psyreviews 2003
