Various
Third Trip
Parvati (Denmark)

I made my third trip to Arundel Castle the other week. Really nice, National Trust joint so not overly cheap, and the cream tea we had was a bit pokey but... hee hee folks, it’s not that kind of third trip!! Guffaw. Okay for those still here after that awful opener, this is an evil album that should be banned immediately. In a good way. Mic’s Astronaut takes all of three seconds to set the tone for the rest of the evening, high-powered and straight down to business with snarling acid flying everywhere. Osom’s Acid Tanik is obscenely dirty, flinging you round the room and giving you a wedgie afterwards for good measure. Psychotic Micro’s Gravedigger made me feel so utterly, physically sick that I had it on repeat for about half an hour, Hyper Frequencies’ New Order of Noise is caustic and twisted, and Digital Talk’s wonderful Artificial Beings has an epic, final-twist kinda vibe that goes very disjointed then fades back into itself. We’re hanging by tatters, but there’s just about time to enjoy What’s Going On by Sticky Fingers, a tech-tribal analogue revolver space age twist of psychedelic lemon to see you on your stumbling way home.
